The Portneuf School Board wished to renew its public image by modernizing it and moving away from the serious and austere imagery that many holds of school communities. The client wanted to be closer to their audience and acquire a modern image; an image that reflected the population of Portneuf. The goal was to have these elements easily recognizable so that the public could easily identify all the schools linked to the Portneuf School Board.

Portneuf is a rural region that is surrounded by mountains, rivers and fields. The shapes and the colours remind us of these elements – a source of pride for the people of the region. Our objective was to create a modular logo that would allow the School Board to use its elements in their publications and displays throughout the Portneuf region. We used bright colours to suggest a more fun and accessible image.
